Jump into the fantasy world of illusion and recreate some of last century’s most prolific magicians, illusionists and entertainers looks. Think velour in jewel tones and sequin surfaces that capture the mystical energy the day evokes.
From Wizardry to sorcery, delight in top hats and tails , capes and Victorian era inspired silhouettes.

This year the Met Gala theme was Manus X Machina: Fashion in an age of technology. Designers and design houses were inspired by fashion and technology alike. Whilst many opted to interpret the theme in the use of metallic and robotic inspired looks some did delve into the theme and related motifs by incorporating the advances in fabric technology in their smart wearable’s.

The joy of the July is that it is about taking hints from the theme as opposed to literally. Above all the event is about having fun and being creative with the fashion brief.
